Our Mission
With a foundation of Trust Based Relational Intervention, and a structure of Montessori methodology, we at Pebblebrook Academy believe every child deserves respect, nurture, and care as they walk the path of learning. We believe it is our duty to provide a well prepared environment where children can be curious, explore, and discover themselves and the world around them.

About Us
Pebblebrook Academy is a private, in-home preschool for children ages 3 and older. Our daily curriculum incorporates elements of traditional preschool activities such as music, art, stories and movement, with the Montessori methodology including Practical Life, Grace and Courtesy, and the hands-on manipulative materials traditional to a Montessori environment. Academic areas include pre reading, early math, and basic Chinese and American Sign Language. We also practice Nurture Groups and other elements of a TBRI classroom.
Our History: Three Generations of Teachers
In the 1950s, a young mother named Inez opened a "one room schoolhouse" style preschool and Kindergarten in her small hometown in Idaho. Preschools were unheard of, and the local elementary school did not offer a Kindergarten program. All of the young children in the small, farming community started their education at Nalder's Children Garden. Inez's teenage daughter, Lori, worked alongside her mother, teaching the children and learning to run a schoolhouse.
Lori finished high school, graduated college, and began teaching high school. Her heart, however, was always in teaching younger children. After traveling the world and having her own family, Lori opened her own preschool and Kindergarten. Her teenage daughter, Breclyn, worked alongside her. Breclyn learned how to teach and how to care for the children.
Breclyn traveled the world and graduated from the University of Utah, though the love of teaching young children never left her heart. Today, Breclyn is the owner and teacher at Pebblebrook Academy. She carries on the legacy her Grandmother and Mother passed down to her.
